Hobbies & Interests

I am mainly interested in computers and technologies relating to the internet. I like to develop web sites and interactive systems for use online. I also run my own web server with several websites running on it, including several of my own (www.markembling.info). I also have a keen interest in offline programming, and I have used Delphi and C# to develop small applications for a variety of uses.

I have designed and implemented my own network at home, and this serves to deliver high-speed internet throughout the house, and provide an infrastructure for inter-computer file sharing within the home. I have also implemented some simple systems which allow management and monitoring of the network by non-technical people in my family.

I also have an interest in music, enjoy many different styles. I especially like rock music, both classic and modern. Also, I like to go out with friends and enjoy a wide variety of activities in my spare time
